Les HopeTHE chairman of the Sonstrust, Brian Payne, has written to new club chairman Les Hope to convey our best wishes to him in his important new role, and to commit the trust to working constructively with Dumbarton FC on the big issues it faces on and off the field.

Brian said: “Congratulations, from not just myself but all our members within the Sonstrust, in your elevation to the Chairman position at Dumbarton FC.

“While it is with some sadness that we see Alan Jardine retiring I am hopeful the good work he has done for the club will continue, particularly in regard to financial sustainability. It is without doubt big shoes to fill.

“All the best in the future for yourself and DFC.”

Brian also assured the new chairman that the trust and the trust director will continue to seek ways to benefit the club moving forward, as well as to represent the interests and views of fans on key issues.
