Congratulations to Garry Fleming on being named the first Sonstrust Man of the Match for the 2015/16 season.

Two weeks ago against Hibs, we witnessed fantastic performance by the Sons to overcome a strong Easter Road  side in our opening game of the season and Fleming’s performance caught the eye, earning him the first man of the match award of the season. In a game where the Dumbarton players performed fantastically as a team, it was Garry’s graft and determination that saw him edge the vote and collect the award from Sonstrust membership secretary Tommy Hughes.

Now it’s your turn.

Your Sonstrust needs volunteers select the man of the match in each of our home games this season. We need a different trust member to nominate a man of the match and to present the award to the chosen winner at the end of each of our home games. All that we ask is that you’re able to tell us your man of the match around the 85th minute of a game and that you can stay behind after the final whistle to congratulate your man of the match, present him with his award and get your presentation picture taken for use on the Sonstrust web and social media pages.

How to apply.

All you have to do in order to volunteer to pick a man of the match during the 2015/16 season is send your name and contact details to trust board member Alistair Thorn at a.thorn.1@blueyonder.co.uk. If you have any specific dates that you’re unavailable then please let us know and we’ll endeavour to accommodate you. Alternatively if there’s a particular game you’re keen to get involved with then tell us and we’ll do our best. We’re looking for volunteers by Thursday August 20th to ensure that we can get things rolling with the visit of Queen Of The South on the 22nd.

We need your help to continue our Sonstrust Man Of The Match award and look forward to enjoying the award-winning performances of the Sons players during the season ahead.
