Do you remember May 1, 2004?

When Sons beat Morton 3-0?

How about April 25th 2009, when Forfar Athletic were trounced 4-0 at the then Strathclyde Homes Stadium?

Both dates have a common theme.

On both occasions Sons fans took part in a Walk to the Rock; first we had the journey with the Morton fans from the Erskine Bridge in 2004 and in 2009 we did the walk again – this time from the other side at Lomond Shores (and on our own!)

The Walk to the Rock 2015 will take place on Saturday, 5, September eaving Erskine Garden Centre at the foot of the Erskine Bridge at 9.45am and we will reprise our original route, walking to the football club for Sons’ clash with Alloa Athletic.

The walk will again be a sponsored event, with proceeds going to Sons’ Youth Development Initiative.

Sponsor forms will be available from Thursday, July 9, when Sons play Hearts at home in a pre-season friendly.

Please keep checking the trust website/Facebook page/Twitter feed (and your registered e-mail account if a member) for more details of what should be another fantastic day.

Meanwhile, if you wish to register interest in taking part, please leave a comment below.
