Sonstrust AGM Goes for Another Record

April 11, 2015

SonstrustAGMA BIG ‘thank-you’ to all who turned up early on Saturday 28th March to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Sonstrust and help shape our work over the coming months.

[This from the latest SonsView:] One of the outcomes was that we set an aim to reach another record membership (for ourselves, and for the percentage of season ticket holders as trust members in a Scottish club) of 400 next season.

Aside from the regular business of approving the accounts and approving the board, there was a special word of thanks and presentation for retiring board member Tommy Hughes. Chair Brian Payne and secretary Alan Findlay conducted the meeting and extended gratitude to everyone who has worked so hard.

Simon Barrow, the trust’s communications and projects officer, gave a detailed report on the official and trust consultations about the proposed ground move, and discussion with the club and owners. We are committed to keeping fans fully involved in developments, and to ensuring that whatever happens is for the security and benefit for the club, supporters and community.

There was also a warm response to the launch (on Thursday 9th April) of the Scottish Football Supporters Association (SFSA), for which Simon has been a coordinator. More details from the AGM and the issues will be appearing on the trust site and social media shortly.
