Can YOU Help Get Sky TV for the Stadium?

April 11, 2013

skysportsDUE to revisions in the pricing structure, there is a possibility of acquiring a Sky Sports package at the Bet Butler Stadium — but whether we are able to go ahead or not depends on the response we get from YOU!

Quite a few people have asked about a high-quality sports TV facility for the Community Suite. Unfortunately, prices have been completely prohibitive until recently.

However we are now discussing the possibility of splitting costs with other partners at DFC on the basis of a reduction in subscription fees.

Even so, to make acquiring Sky rights financially viable and sustainable, we will definitely need to get a start-up fund together, and to gauge how much extra interest and business the move might create.

So we need to know:

(1) Do you think having Sky Sports installed would increase use of the Community Suite before and after home games, and on other occasions?

(2) Would you come to watch TV and have a drink more often if we could offer Sky?

(3) Would you encourage friends, family and colleagues to come along?

(4) Would you be prepared to contribute a few quid to a start-up fund?

PLEASE LEAVE YOUR RESPONSES BELOW. Comments can also be sent privately to secretary Alan Findlay here.

We might organise a more formal poll at some point, but this is a good initial way of gauging interest in, and commitment to, the possibility. Thanks!

    (1) I enjoy watching the early kick off over a pint before the game and that’s the reason me and my friends go to other places. I’m sure there are others in the same boat.

    (2) Yes.

    (3) Yes.

    (4) Certainly.
