AGM Speaker on Future of Scottish Clubs

March 23, 2013

paul_goodwinTHE Sonstrust is pleased to announce that the speaker at our AGM on Monday 25th March 2013 will be Paul Goodwin, who heads up Supporters Direct in Scotland and the Scottish Fans network.

Paul will talk about the ways in which supporters are seeking community control over football clubs in Scotland, and what that could mean for us all.

He has been in the media a fair bit recently, in relation to negotiations at Hearts, Dunfermline and elsewhere. Our teams and our game are under immense pressure – but rather than shrugging our shoulders, this is an opportunity to bring a fresh impetus to supporter involvement in directing Scottish football to a better future.

The AGM will also get to hear about developments in the Trust’s own Vision Strategy for the collaborative future of Dumbarton FC. As you’ll be aware, an awful lot has happened at DFC since our last AGM.

Please come to the Sonstrust AGM, 7.30pm at the Abbotsford Hotel this Monday, and have your say. Note that the formal Annual General Meeting Business is only open to Trust members. So sign up now if you haven’t already!
