April 15, 2012

The Sons Supporters Trust has today appealed to all Dumbarton supporters to help them raise £1000 for their club’s youth development work by giving one pound at the vital match against Airdrie Utd on 21st April.

The concept is simple ; the Trust is asking all supporters to drop just one pound into special collection buckets, which will be carried by coaches, parents and players if the YDI at the match.

All proceeds will be used for the club’s youth and community programme. for further details.

Trust director Alan Findlay commented : “With many routes on funding for youth development being closed off, we are looking at getting our own money in.

“Jim Chapman and his coaching team have been working hard at ideas in this respect and I sincerely hope that our members will respond to this event and support it.

“Our aim is to raise £1000. It’s a tough ask, but it can be done.”
