April 20, 2011

ON Easter Sunday,  Sons popular mascot – Pellie the Elephant – will make his debut at the Scottish Mascot Gold Cup which will be held at Musselburgh Race Course.

The race is run along a single furlong, approximately 220 yards and will take place in front of the main grandstand.

And Pellie will be raising money for Sue Ryder, a charity that provides help to people with complex long-term health issue – a worthy cause.

If you would like to help Pellie in his fundraising efforts, click through to his donation page – here.

Pellie and his helpers will also be at Strathclyde Homes Stadium this Saturday collecting any donations that Sons fans wish to make.

The mascot race forms a part of the charity’s family day this Sunday, and for an inexpensive day out at the races, Pellie can help make you make a saving of over £11 per person on the entry fee – for more info, e-mail him using
