WITH excitement building for this weekend’s Scottish Cup tie with Morton, the Trust have lined up some pre-match entertainment at SHS when Mike McLean and his Your Radio team visit to broadcast the excellent ‘What’s the Score?’ preview programme.

COMEDY DEBUT

TRUST board member and SonsTV guru Gary Black makes his debut as a stand-up comedian tonight.
Gary has been learning the craft as part of a development course and will perform his routine to an audience at Maggie Mays in the Merchant City (Glasgow).

RACENIGHT SUCCESS

OVER 150 members and guests enjoyed the trust’s first social event of the season last Friday (6th). The fundraising racenight was a roaring success, thanks in the main to the superb organisation by Denise Currie and her team.
£1500 was the final amount raised – a superb effort in today’s economic climate.

TRUST INVEST IN YOUTH

  

  
THE Sonstrust handed over a cheque for £1750 to Dumbarton FC before last Saturday’s first home win of the season against Arbroath.
Whilst Scott Chaplain’s first half goal captured 3 points for the team, DFC Chairman was equally delighted with the donation which will be  ringfenced for youth development at the Club!

THE WALK TO THE ROCK

WE did it! Congratulations to everybody who took part in the Walk to the Rock yesterday.
About 50 Sons fans walked from Loch Lomond Shores in Balloch to the Strathclyde Homes Stadium, including chairman Alan Jardine.
All had been sponsored to raise funds for the club’s youth development initiative and St Vincent’s Hospice in Howwood, Renfrewshire.

SPORTSMANS DINNER 09

THE Trust’s second annual fundraising Sportsmans Dinner took place last Saturday night (21st March 09) at Strathclyde Homes Stadium.
