Never was there a more freindly, genuine nice person than Guido. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and our loss is heavens gain and rest assured he'll be walking around with wonderful big smile watching us all.

RIP Gordon.

gordon was a neighbour of mines , until he grew up and moved away, he went to my youth club as a young boy and was always smiling even then, his family are a lovely family and they must de devestated as i was when i heard what had happened, my youngest son his 26 and they all used to play together when they were kids. he will be sorely missed but just remember that smile and you will smile also.my thoughts are sent to kelly and kai, his mum and dad, scott, heather and buchan.

I first got to speak to Gordon at the awards evening. What a friendly chap he was. He was a great personality and was so enthuslastic about the game. If only all footballers we so approachable and friendly towards there fans. My thoughts are with his family at such a difficult time. May Gordon Rest In Peace.

OOR CAPTAIN

The lord has taken our captain away
At Dumbarton F C it’s a very sad day
He’s gone to play football in the sky
We’ll all miss him, especially Kelly and Kia

Down at the Rock, it’s a very sad place
We’re all going to miss his cheeky face
This season we won the third division title
His tackles and leadership, they were so vital

He came from Thistle to play for the Sons
You soon became the fans number one
You were brave, skilful and courageous
Off the park, you smile was contagious

At the end of the season we all had a blast
We thought the good times, they would last
You were our leader, so brave and so strong
How we will miss you now that you’re gone

You were a friend, a pal, a really good man
A hero, to my son Adam, your number one fan
Now rest in peace our Captain Guido
You will always be the Sons fans superhero

Gordon, I knew him as a player and a friend
As SONS LEGEND to the very end
You’ll be sorely missed on a match day
I wish the Lord had let you stay

Guido you’ll always be in our prayers
To me, you were my favourite player
But alas we have got to move on
One more time lads sing the song

GUIDO, GUIDO, GUIDO

GORDON LENNON - A GENT, A PAL, A SONS LEGEND RIP 1983 -2009

Gordon is a true sons legend and will never be forgotten by all Dumbarton fans who had the privilege of seeing him play. As a captain he guided the Sons to Championship glory which will be remembered by many, as the highlight of their Dumbarton supporting days.

I feel honoured to have seen Gordon play in Sons colours in the last year and a half and what a fine player he was. He was an inspirational captain and will be sorely missed.

One can only imagine what his family are going through and I give them my deepest condolences for their loss.

May he rest in peace.

I only got to know Gordon recently when he joined our company but in those few short months he made such an impact on us that we'll never forget him. He had such a zest for life and was always smiling. His attitude and personality were infectious and one look at that big smile had us all smiling with him, he lit up the room wherever he went. It was an honour and a pleasure to know Gordon - he was one of a kind and will never be forgotten.

My heartfelt sympathies go to Gordon's family but hope that the happy memories of the wonderful man that he was will bring you all comfort in time.
