As a captain he guided the Sons to Championship glory which will be remembered by many, as the highlight of their Dumbarton supporting days. I feel honoured to have seen Gordon play in Sons colours in the last year and a half and what a fine player he was. He was an inspirational captain and will be sorely missed. One can only imagine what his family are going through and I give them my deepest condolences for their loss. May he rest in peace. Gordon is a true sons legend and will never be forgotten by all Dumbarton fans who had the privilege of seeing him play.
