MEMBERSHIP 2008/2009
WITH the season drawing rapidly to a close, the Trust are planning ahead for the new campaign. As ever, hard work looms, with our growing commercial remit at Dumbarton FC, and all the other things we do as an organisation that helps the Club.
To make all our ideas work, and to give us strength in the (new) boardroom at Strathclyde Homes Stadium, a strong, vibrant and contributing membership is the key. And that’s where YOU come in.
For season 2008/2009, the Trust are targetting a membership of 350. Ambitious? You betcha, and why not? We have a fantastic support at Dumbarton and as it stands right now, the Trust is truly representative of that fanbase, but as the Club goes forward, so must we and this is where YOU come in.
If you are already a Trust member, your elected board asks you to do three things this summer :
- Renew your membership as quickly as possible - by the end of August 08 would be fantastic.
- Get a friend to join. Just one. (Two would be great mind you!) If each current member persuades at least one new fan to join, our target would be met. Exceeded even.
- Renew your DFC season ticket if you have one (or buy a new one). The Trust manage this process for the Club and it’s important that fans continue to give support. Vital.
The Sonstrust are committed to strengthening the voice of supporters in the decision making processes at the football club, and strengthening the links between the club and the community of Dumbarton and the surrounding area of West Dunbartonshire.
The club will be playing for a place in the second division next season and we require all of our commercial ventures to contribute towards the additional running costs that this will entail, so it is important that Trust members continue to play a huge part in what will be an ambitious push for promotion.
To become a member of the Trust or to renew your membership, please get in touch via this blogsite by leaving a comment. We will publish the new membership form very soon.
